dreadfulpennyI have a migraine, so this will be brief. Reading AFTERLIGHT by Elle Jasper.
1) Classic no-decent-mommy syndrome
2) Possible Magical Negro situation
3) Repetitive language (Riley calls her brother "Bro" every. single. time. that she addresses him)
4) Riley's arrogance
I'm about a third of the way through and I'm sure that I'll have more to say about this book before I'm finished. I'm hoping that it turns out well.
