(this is a new experiment, designed to get me posting)

Texans do not know how to drive in the rain. I can picture the reactions: "Aaaahhhhh! What's this??? There's WATER COMING FROM THE SKY!!!! What do we doooooo???" I respect the act of driving slowly and carefully while it's raining. I do not understand sitting at a stop light for fifteen full seconds after it turns green. It was not just a one time deal, either. This was at every traffic light I encountered.

I haven't lived in Virginia's tidewater region for several years, but I still remember all of the driving tricks I learned there. It rains three to five days out of every week there. You get used to it. I sorta miss it. We don't get nice thunderstorms here.

I have driven in Texas. You are so totally correct in your observation. (Therefore, I did guffaw.)

here in the DC area, we have two types of rain drivers (excluding me, that is): the reckless super fast type, and the super slow, a crowd of turtles could cross the road in total safety in front of them types. I don't understand why people can't be sensible about it. And forget about driving in snow! they're idiots.
