kosmickway posted an invitation to her friends. Reply to a post by saying "words!" and she would assign five words/phrases that make her think of whomever replied. Here are mine.
1) soul sister and brain twin
Kway and I agreed long ago that our relationship was more like that of sisters than of cousins or even the closest of friends. We've grown up together and gone through more periods of badness than any set of friends ever had any right to, and here we are today, still close. That's how family works. As to the "brain twin" portion of the phrase, well, there have been too many instances of us coming up with the exact same thought or idea at the exact same time. We share a LOT of the same interests and opinions, and even before we agreed upon the sisterhood of us, we came to the conclusion that our brains are merely two halves of the same whole.
2) ferociously individual
FEROCIOUSLY, even, wow. I suppose that Kway's referring to my desire to be ME at all times in all ways, and the supreme irritation that I get when something that has been my private "thing" (at least in my head) blows up and becomes trendy. She could also be referring to the fact that I never really cared what anybody else thought about what I was wearing, eating, reading, or doing at any given time.
3) uniquely twisted ;)
I don't know, honestly, unless Kway's been spying on me at home ;) I should ask her what SHE means by that, y'know?
4) Dorothy Parker in all the best ways
Wit, sarcasm, and the ability to turn a phrase in a delightfully amusing way. Hey! That's me!
5) thoughtfully creative
I write, I work on collages sometimes, I used to play with digital photography (and I would still be doing REAL photography if I had a real camera), I create my own art in my own ways, but there's always a lot of me going into everything that I do. I also go out of my way to come up with unique ways of surprising the people that I love (but that would be creatively thoughtful, I suppose).
And the other meme is a question-n-answer type of thing, but I'mprocrastinating bored and J's still asleep, since he was playing Halo with his friend B. until 3:15am.

my hip-length hair, so that I may apply conditioner and let it soak in while I do the rest of my showerly business.

Yeah, I suppose. He's pretty cute. Also I'm married to him.

I do, in the sense of "What shirt do I want to wear with my boring work khakis today?" I have more fun choosing which fragrance I'm going to wear, and that frequently takes longer than picking out the clothing.
How are you feeling RIGHT now?
Calm, still about half-asleep, optimistic about getting started on a Big Sekrit Project today, and...hungry. I wanna taco.
What’s the closest thing to you that's red?
In actuality, a roll of packing tape that J uses when shipping out the things that he sells on Amazon / eBay / car forums. I was going to be all creative and say "the red linen napkin that was wrapped around our bottle of wedding champagne," but I cannot even SEE said napkin, and do not believe that I can cheat that much.
Tell me about the last dream you remember having.
I don't remember much, there was this girl that we don't like much and she was staying at our house with her child, only we didn't invite her, she just showed up because she left her husband. And I had a cat, an ADORABLE little orange-and-white boy whose name I can no longer remember. He was so sweet though.
Ever been on a train?
In the sense of airport trains and Busch Gardens trains, yes. In the sense of traveling to somewhere else in the country, not yet, but I am looking at an Alaskan train trip as a honeymoon type of thing for J and me next year.
Brown or white eggs?
Brown, but only because that's how the cage-free, all-natural eggs seem to come in this town. Brown eggs come from brown chickens, Kway ;)
Do you have a cell phone?
Si, I am having it. I LOVE my iPhone more than I should.
Do you use chap stick?
Yes, frequently, but I work in a climate-controlled pharmacy, and it gets quite dry.

Si, I am using them. We have a drawer full of the fancypants bamboo ones with pointy ends. Also I have my own pair -- two of my own pair, even, but I suspect that J has somehow gotten rid of my little quilted case (it had a little man on the front...I named him "Wu Tang")

I'm not forgiving enough. I am, in some cases, grudge-lass.

I'm satisfied with it.

I count pills for a living. (Counting pills pays the bills...my what a delightful turn of phrase! *rolls eyes*) My life's work, though, appears to be taking care of people in one capacity or another. Also I like to write words down on paper. Sometimes they're real. Mostly they're stories that I tell myself for entertainment.
