Sauteed vegetables in olive oil, fresh garlic and lemon juice. Topped them with freshly-grated parmesan. Also pan fried some chicken breast tenders with more of the garlic and olive oil. Sauteed some fresh asparagus in the chicken pan, salted/peppered/garlicked, more of the parm. Baked J's share of the chicken in the oven with plum tomato sauce with more of the parm and some mozzarella.
Now
House DVDs. Fire in the fireplace again. We toasted marshmallows. The dog is curled up by the fire (she is ridiculously cute).
I wish the sun would shine. It was a gray, cold day. I hated it so much. Any day that I have to use headlights both on my way to work and on the way home is a terrible day. The fireplace is helping a lot with the seasonal depression issues that I struggle with. I am so, so glad that November is over. It's never been a kind month in my family. December has arrived. I am hoping to be able to snap out of the funk sometime soon. I'm reading fluff, cooking a lot and trying very, very hard. Tomorrow I'll bake toffee cookies and keep going.
